Jackie Joyner-Kersee - A multi-talented athlete, Joyner-Kersee was the first American woman to win an Olympic gold medal in the women’s heptathlon, which she did at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul. She also won gold medals in the long jump and the 4x400 meter relay in Los Angeles in 1984.

Babe Didrikson Zaharias - A pioneering golf and basketball player, Didrikson Zaharias was the first American to win three gold medals at the 1932 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles in the 80-meter hurdles and javelin throw. She later became an All-American basketball player, dominated the LPGA Tour, and won 10 major championships in golf.

Venuste N’Dongala - N’Dongala represented the Central African Republic in the 100-meter and 200-meter races at the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich. She was the first female athlete from her country to compete in the Olympics and was the first female African athlete to win an Olympic medal, a bronze in the 200-meter races.
